TikTok For You Page
The For You Page, or FYP, is TikTok's main feed of algorithmically ranked videos chosen for each user instead of a followed-accounts timeline.
The For You Page (FYP) is the endless, personalized video feed that opens by default when a user launches TikTok, built from ranking signals rather than a chronological list of followed accounts. TikTok's own guidance names watch time, completion rate, likes, comments, shares, rewatches and account or device settings as the main ranking inputs, weighted per user rather than applied as one fixed formula.
The FYP is why a brand new account with zero followers can still get its first video in front of thousands of people: TikTok tests each upload on a small batch of viewers first and expands distribution only if that batch reacts well. This makes consistent posting and a strong first 2 to 3 seconds more valuable than follower count.
A video that gets skipped quickly or reported drops out of further testing fast, which is the real mechanism behind what creators call being 'shadowbanned' from the FYP.
