Long-Form Video

Long-form video is video content longer than a few minutes, built for depth, watch time, and stronger trust rather than quick reach.

Long-form video is video content typically running from several minutes to over an hour, used for tutorials, interviews, reviews, vlogs, and webinars. It lives mainly on YouTube but also on LinkedIn and Facebook. It matters because longer watch time builds deeper trust, supports SEO and search discoverability, and creates source material that can be cut into many short clips. Long-form converts better for considered purchases and high-ticket offers. Performance is judged by total watch time, average view duration, audience retention curves, and subscriber or lead growth rather than raw view counts.

Examples

  • A 12-minute YouTube product review and comparison
  • A 45-minute recorded webinar on social media strategy
  • An hour-long podcast episode published as video
